Promo Codes
Reward your users without building a fulfillment pipeline to do it.
Promo Code Rewards let you distribute promotional codes to users through the Rewards Marketplace or as instant rewards for completing Missions.
Why Use Promo Codes
Case #1: You want to turn points into revenue-driving discounts, not just perks
Problem: Points that only unlock badges or physical perks don't drive further purchases. You need a reward that gets users back to checkout.
Solution: Distribute promo codes as a Reward, so points convert directly into a redeemable discount or voucher.
How it works: Once a user redeems the reward, the code appears immediately in the widget and stays accessible in their Activity tab for later use.
How to do it: Create a Promo Code Reward, set its point cost, and activate it in the Rewards section.
Outcome: Loyalty points translate into a concrete reason to purchase again.
Case #2: You want to run partner or seasonal promotions without a manual codes process
Problem: Distributing a partner discount or a seasonal offer usually means manually generating, tracking, and emailing out codes — work that doesn't scale as your user base grows.
Solution: Load the promotion into Enable3 as a Promo Code Reward and let the platform handle distribution and tracking.
How it works: Codes are issued automatically on redemption, with availability and remaining inventory tracked for you in the Admin Panel.
How to do it: Choose the code format that matches the promotion — one shared code, or a batch of unique codes — and set the reward live.
Outcome: Partner and seasonal offers go live in minutes, with no manual code handling and full visibility into how many have been claimed.
Case #3: You want promo codes to reward specific behavior, not just point balances
Problem: You want to reserve certain codes for users who complete a specific action — not make them available to anyone browsing the Rewards Marketplace.
Solution: Assign a Promo Code Reward to a Mission, so it’s issued at the Mission’s completion and doesn’t require the user to spend points.
How it works: Once a user meets the Mission's conditions and claims the reward, a promo code is issued immediately and stored in their Activity tab.
How to do it: Create and activate the Promo Code Reward, then select it as the reward type when configuring the Mission.
Outcome: Promo codes become a targeted incentive for the exact behavior you want to drive, not a blanket giveaway.

Supported
Use Multi-use Promo Code when the same code can be shared across multiple users.

Use Single-use Promo Codes when every user should receive an individual, unique code.

How to Set Up a Single-use Promo Code Reward
Available for all integration types, starting from No-code.
Step 1: Prepare Your CSV File
Single-use promo codes are uploaded as a CSV file. The file must meet these requirements:
Maximum file size: 3 MB
One column only, containing your promo codes
One promo code per row
Each code must be unique to be counted as available inventory

Enable3 automatically checks uploaded codes for duplicates. Duplicate rows are ignored and are not included in the available reward count — for example, a 100-code file with 10 duplicates yields 90 available codes.
Step 2: Create the Reward
Navigate to the Rewards section of the Admin Dashboard. Click Create Reward.

Select Promo Code as the reward type, then, in the Conditions section, choose Single-use promo code.

Step 3: Upload Your Codes
Upload your CSV file. The Amount of Available Rewards field populates automatically, showing available codes against the total valid codes uploaded (e.g., 100 / 100). As codes are distributed, this number updates — e.g., 75 / 100 after 25 redemptions.

Step 4: Complete the Reward Configuration
Finish configuring the reward's remaining settings (image, name, description, point cost, and any Segment or Tier restrictions).
Activate the Reward to make it available for redemption.

Replacing the Promo Code File
Additional codes cannot be appended to a CSV file that's already assigned to a reward. To provide a new batch, upload a new CSV file.
When a new file is uploaded, Enable3 validates the new codes against:
other codes within the same newly uploaded file, and
codes that have already been distributed from this reward.
Previously distributed codes are remembered by the system and will never be re-issued — even if the same code appears again in a later upload. For example, if PROMO123 was already distributed and a new file containing PROMO123 is uploaded, that code is ignored.
This guarantees every Single-use Promo Code stays single-use across every subsequent upload.
How to Set Up a Multi-use Promo Code Reward
Step 1: Create the Reward
Navigate to the Rewards section of the Admin Dashboard. Click Create Reward.

Select Promo Code as the reward type, then, in the Conditions section, choose Multi-use promo code.

Step 2: Enter Your Code
Enter the promo code that will be distributed among your users.
Step 3: Complete the Reward Configuration
Finish configuring the reward's remaining settings (image, name, description, point cost, and any Segment or Tier restrictions).
Activate the Reward to make it available for redemption.

Low Inventory Notifications
Enable3 monitors your Single-use Promo Code inventory automatically and sends email alerts at two points:
10 promo codes remaining — when inventory drops to 10 available codes
No promo codes remaining — when all codes have been distributed
When a Single-use Promo Code Reward runs out, it's automatically deactivated. If it's assigned to a Mission, the Mission is deactivated with it — so users can never complete a Mission for a reward that no longer exists.
How End Users Experience Promo Codes
Redeeming from the Rewards Marketplace
The user redeems an active Promo Code Reward from the Reward Catalog section.

For Single-use rewards, Enable3 assigns one of the remaining unique codes and removes it from inventory.
For Multi-use rewards, the user receives the same configured code as everyone else.
The issued code appears in a confirmation pop-up and can be copied immediately.

The code remains accessible afterward via the Activity tab, in the Transaction's Details.

Earning Through a Mission
The user completes the Mission's conditions and claims the reward.

A unique promo code is issued and displayed in the completion pop-up.
The code is also stored in the Mission's transaction details in the Activity tab for later reference.
The Mission page in the widget shows the number of rewards already claimed against the total available, so users can see when a Mission's codes are running low.

Important Considerations and Restrictions
Only CSV files are supported for Single-use Promo Codes.
Maximum CSV file size is 3 MB.
The CSV must contain a single column, one promo code per row.
Each unique code can be distributed only once — ever.
Duplicate codes within an uploaded file are ignored and not counted as available inventory.
Codes that have already been distributed can't be re-issued, even if re-uploaded in a later file.
Codes can't be appended to an existing file — upload a new CSV to add more.
Available reward counts are based on valid, unique codes only.
A reward must be Active before it can be assigned to a Mission.
A reward can be assigned to only one Mission at a time.
Single-use Promo Code Rewards deactivate automatically once exhausted, along with any Mission they're assigned to.
Enable Do not show in the Reward Shop if a reward should only be earned through a Mission.
Users can always retrieve previously issued codes from their transaction details in the Activity tab.
